$x^{2} + 2 x - 2 = 0$
As we don't have factors
$\frac{- b \pm \sqrt{b^{2} - 4 a c}}{2 a} = \frac{- 2 \pm \sqrt{4 - 4.1. - 2}}{2.1}$
$= \frac{- 2 \pm \sqrt{4 + 8}}{2} = \frac{- 2 \pm \sqrt{12}}{2}$
$\frac{- 2 \pm 2 \sqrt{3}}{2} = - 1 \pm \sqrt{3}$
