The correct option is A x = 2, y = 1
x + y = 3 ..... (1)
2x + 3y = 7 ...... (2)
y = 3 - x [From Equation (1)];
2x + 3(3 - x) = 7 2x + 9 - 3x = 7
-x = - 2, i.e., x = 2
and, y = 3 - 2 = 1
x = 2 and y = 1
