$2 x - 7 y = 7$ (1) , $3 x + y = 22 \times 7$
$\Rightarrow 21 x + 7 y = 154$ (2)
Adding (1) and (2)
$2 x - 7 y = 7$
$21 x + 7 y = 154$
______________
$23 x = 161$
$x = 7$
$2 x - 7 y = 7$
$2 \times 7 - 7 y = 7$
$7 y = 14 - 7$
$y = 1$
$∴ x = 7$ ,
$y = 1$
