Solution

(a) Aquifer is groundwater stored between layers of hard rock below the water table. In other words, the water bearing layer of the earth is called aquifer.
(b) The process of seeping of water in the ground is called infiltration. The groundwater thus gets recharged by this process.
(c) The evaporation of water from oceans and its arrival back into oceans is called water cycle. The process of water cycle includes evaporation, condensation and precipitation. The water from oceans, rivers, lakes, etc. evaporates and rises into the atmosphere as water vapours. It condenses into millions of tiny droplets that form clouds. The water is precipitated from the clouds as rain, snow or hail.
