a. In NO3,
Hybridisation =12[5+00+1]=3
Thus, in NO3, the central atom is sp2 hybridised and it has trigonal planar geometry.
b. In H3O+,
Hybridisation =12[6+31+0]=4
Thus, O is sp3 hybridised in H3O+ and H3O+ has pyramidal geometry due to the presence of one lone pair of electron.
Thus, NO3 and H3O+ are dissimilar in hybridization for the central atom with different structures.
