Sometimes when a vehicle is driven at a particular speed, a rattling sound is heard. Explain briefly, why this happens and give the name of the phenomenon taking place.

When the frequency of engine becomes equal to frequency of some parts of vehicle then a rattling sound is produced. This happens due to a phenomenon is known as resonance. Resonance is a phenomenon in which a vibrating system or external force drives another system to oscillate with greater amplitude at a specific preferential frequency.
