Sonia gave away $\frac{2}{9}$ of her collection of stamps to Jaya and $\frac{4}{9}$ of the collection to Reena. What fraction of the stamp collection is left with her?

Let the collection of Stamps with Sonia $= \frac{9}{9} = 1$

Sonia gave to Jaya $= \frac{2}{9}$ of her collection

Sonia gave to Reena $= \frac{4}{9}$ of her collection

$∴$ Sonia gave $= \frac{2}{9} + \frac{4}{9} = \frac{6}{9} = \frac{2}{3}$ of her collection.

Remaining Stamps with her $= 1 - \frac{2}{3} = \frac{3 - 2}{3} = \frac{1}{3}$ of the collection.
