Sonu went to a shop. He wanted to buy a chiki and a toffee. One chiki costs Rs. $0.75$ and a toffee costs Rs.$0.50$. If he buys one each of them how much he has to pay to the shop keeper. Sonu's mother gave him Rs.$2$. He gave it to shopkeeper and bought items of Rs.$1.25$. How much he will get in return? Suppose if his mother gave her Rs.$5$ then how much will the shopkeeper return?

Price of one Chiki $=$ Rs. $0.75$

Price of one Toffee $=$ Rs. $0.50$

Sonu buys one each of them, so he has to pay $=1\times 0.75+1\times 0.50=Rs1.25$

Sonu's mother gave him Rs. $2$

Sonu paid Rs. $1.25$ to the shopkeeper.

The money, Sonu will get in return $=2.00-1.25=$Rs. $0.75$

If his mother gave him Rs. $5$ and Sonu paid Rs. $1.25$ to the shopkeeper.

The money, Sonu will get in return $=5.00-1.25=$Rs. $3.75$
