Lyman…1, Balmer…2, Paschen! So, n1=3 and n2 will go from n2=4 to n2=

Let λ1 be the wavelength for n2=4, and λ for n2=. From the Rydberg formula,
1λ1=R(132142)
λ1=1.875×106m
v1=cλ1=3×1081.875×106Hz=1.600×1014Hz
Similarly, for n2=
cλ=R(13212)=R9m1
λ=9Rm=8.204×107m
v=cλ=3×1088.204×107Hz=3.657×1014Hz
1012 Hz makes 1 Tera Hz or 1 Thz. The frequency range v1v of the Balmer series is therefore 160.0 – 365.7 THz.
