Solution

DNA is a simple double helical structure made up of sugar and nitogenous base. DNA forms nucleosome structure with the histone proteins. Nucleosomes coil and appear as a network of long strands called chromatin fibres. Chromatin fibres condense to form chromatids. Two chromatids join at the centromere to form chromosomes.
