Solution

On polling day, people line up at the polling station. The Presiding Officer checks whether they are eligible voters, and if their names are on the electoral roll. The voters then cast their vote on the EVM. Then, polling officers mark the voter's finger with indelible ink to prevent them from casting multiple votes. The EVMs are then sealed and transferred to a secure location. On counting day, EVMs are opened to count the votes. Thereafter, the election results are declared.
