• The country unites varied ethnic, racial, and cultural groups in the post-apartheid era of 1994, which was earlier divided based on the color of the skin.
• Rainbow gives an idea of hope and a bright future, as per some South African beliefs.
• Also, the South African flag also constitutes six colors giving the impression of a rainbow.
