Sowing seeds by scattering them by hand results unequal distribution of seeds. For proper distribution and spacing of the seeds, a seed dril is attached to the plough which consists of a funnel at the tp with a tube below which releases seeds as the plough is pulled over the soil. The seeds of maize, bajra and mustard are sown by this method.
