Q. You are given two identical bars which look as they might be made up iron. One of them is a magnet, while the other is a
simple iron bar. Turn-wise, one end of each bar will be moved over the surface of the other. The bar showing the variation in
the attraction over the surface is the magnet. Do you agree with this? Explain with reasons.

Solution

Dear student,

the magnet has magnetic field strength of different degree at poles and near body. when iron bar is moved over the magnet it will experience more attraction near the poles and less attraction near the boy. but when the magnet is moved over the iron bar, it will experience same attraction all throughout because the pole is moving on the iron bar and the magnetic field strength is the same.
