Answer the following questions :-

(i) Describe the electronic distribution in atom of element B.

(ii) Is elements B a metal or a now-metal ? Why ?

Dear student,
a) Element B has 17 electrons. So the distribution is as follows:
[B] = 2 , 8 , 7
K, L, M
b) Since element B is having 7 electrons in the outermost shell , it will gain an electron results in formation of anion. So the element is a NON METAL i.e. CHLORINE.
