Solution

Dear student,
12)
A person moves towards a plane mirror with speed of 2 m/s.
His image is also moving towards the mirror with the same speed of 2 m/s, but in opposite direction.
So the speed of the person relative to the image will be 2 + 2 = 4 m/s

13)
The distance between the object and the mirror= 25 cm
Then the mirror is shifted 5 cm away from the object.
So the distance between the object and the mirror become 30 cm which is equal to the distance between the mirror and the image.
  1. The new distance between the object and the image = 30 + 30 cm = 60 cm
  2. The distance between the two positions of the image = 30 - 25 = 5 cm

14)
The distance between the man and the mirror = 5 m
So the distance between the image and mirror will also be 5 m
Hence the distance between the man and his image will be 5 +5 = 10 m

Regards.
