i) No. of valence electron of same group remains same .
ii) The no. of shells of elements of same periods remains same no. of electrons changes.

10.b.
i) The no. of shells increases as we go down the group.
ii) No. of valence electrons increases as we go left to right in the period.
iii) Atomic radii of the elements decreases on moving in a period.
iv) Metallic character increases down the group.
