Solution

The correct option is C Choanocytes
Spongoecoel is the large central cavity present in the body of sponges. Spongocoel is lined by flagellated cells called collar cells, also called choanocytes. The flagella in the collar cells allow circulation of water and minerals inside the canal.

Ostia are small pores or openings found on the surface of the sponges.

Osculum (pl: oscula) is the opening of the sponges through which water exits from the spongocoel, carrying with it the wastes of the animal.

Mesenchyme or mesohyl is the stroma or the matrix of the sponges in which we find the different cells scattered.
