Cellular slime moulds start their life as haploid and uninucleate cells called myxamoebae. When the food nearly get exhausted and the amoe­boid cells get aggregated but do not fuse is known as pseudoplasmodium. The cells of pseudoplasmodium form sporocarp (fruiting body) which bear a sporangium at its terminal end and produces spores. The spore germinate to produce myxamoebae.
