$Spring force is conservative i . e . when there is no force acting on the spring, the energy is stored in the spring in the form of P . E . When force acts on the spring, this mechanical force changes its P . E . eneergy into K . E . and in doing so work is done which results in the stretchinf if the spring . When this mechanical force is released, the energy once again is transformed into P . E . and spring comes back to its original position . Thus force is conservative .$
