The correct option is D Rs. $1, 44, 000$
Let his Monthly salary $= x$
Food expenses $= \frac{20}{100} \times x = \frac{x}{5}$
House Rent $= \frac{40}{100} \times (x - \frac{x}{5}) = \frac{8 x}{5}$
Remaining amount
$= x - \frac{x}{5} - \frac{8 x}{25} = \frac{25 x - 5 x - 8 x}{25} = \frac{12 x}{25}$
Hence, $\frac{12 x}{25} = 5760$
$\Rightarrow x = 12000$ and yearly salary $= 12 \times 12000 = 144000$ .
Hence, option $C$ is the correct answer.
