$Initial balance in Sreehari' s Bank account = Rs 8000 Amount deposited on 4 th day = Rs 4000 So, the balance in his bank account after 4 days is Rs (8000 + 4000) = Rs 12, 000 It is given that he withdraws \frac{1}{4} th of his total balance on 5 th day . \frac{1}{4} th of Rs 12, 000 = \frac{1}{4} \times 12, 000 = Rs 3000 Therefore, the final balance in his account after 5 th day is Rs (12, 000 - 3000) = Rs 9000$
