Human Resource Management involves planning, organising, directing and controlling the human resource activities of an enterprise. Staffing is an important part of human resource management. Every enterprise requires managerial and non-managerial employees. Staffing is concerned with procurement, development, compensation, maintenance and integration of managers or executives.

Human Resource Management is also concerned with these functions in connection with both managers and non-managers. As, the need for qualified managers has increased due to cut-throat competition and technological advancements, importance of staffing has also increased.
