State an example, of how force can change the velocity of an object.

  1. Force is a push or pulls acting on an object which tends to change its state, shape, or size.
  2. For example, when a bicycle is pedaled it starts moving because the force applied by the cyclist is more than the frictional force.
  3. The speed of the cycle increases with an increase in force applied by pedaling rapidly.
  4. Similarly, the velocity of a cycle will decrease when the force is reduced or removed.
