1. Density of fluid

  1. Buoyant force acting on a body immersed in a fluid is directly proportional to the density of the fluid.
  2. More the density of the fluid, the more will be the buoyant force exerted on the body and vice versa.

2. Volume of the fluid displaced

  1. Buoyant force acting on the body immersed in a fluid is directly proportional to the volume of the fluid displaced by the body.
  2. More the volume of the liquid displaced by the body, the more will be the buoyant force exerted on the body and vice versa.
