Solution
Archimedes' principle: It states that when a body is partially or completely immersed in a fluid, it experiences an upthrust equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the immersed part of the body.
In simpler words, for a body immersed in a fluid, there is an apparent loss of weight of the body which is equal to the weight of the displaced fluid.
Archimedes' principle is applicable to all fluids; hence, it is applicable to gases.
