Causes :
1) Agricultural development that has increased food output and reduced mortality from starvation.
2) Medical facilities which have brought down mortality from diseases and epidemics.
3) Longevity provided by better food and health services.
Consequences :
1) Socioeconomics problems due to a shortage of space, food, educational and medical facilities and due to unemployment and poverty.
2) Energy crisis due to greater demand for oil and electricity.
