State -1916 as proper, improper, or mixed fraction

The fractions in which the numerator is equal to or greater than the denominator are called improper fractions and in those fractions in which the denominator is greater than the numerator are called proper fractions and those who have both integer and fractional parts are called a mixed fractions.

Hence, in -1916 numerator is greater than the denominator so it is improper fractions.
