Question

State newton's second law of motion. What information do you get form it?

Open in App
Solution

According to the Newton’s 2nd Law of motion, the rate of change of linear momentum of a body is equal to the net external force acting on it and happens in the direction of the net force.

This helps us to determine the net force acting on a body if we know the rate change of momentum or the momentum change if we know the net force acting on it.
