Solution

  • When ammonium hydroxide solution is added to lead nitrate solution then a chalky white precipitate of lead (II) hydroxide is formed which is insoluble in excess ammonium hydroxide.
  • Reaction between lead(II) nitrate and ammonium hydroxide :
  • Pb(NO3)2(aq.)+2NH4OH(aq.)Pb(OH)2(s)+2NH4NO3(aq.)
    (Lead(II) (Ammonium (Lead(II) (Ammonium
