At the anode when aqueous copper sulfate solution is electrolyzed using copper electrodes.

Open in App
Solution

  • At the anode when aqueous copper sulphate solution is electrolyzed using copper electrodes, then nothing is left at the anode as copper atoms form copper ions and migrate towards the cathode.
  • The blue-coloured aqueous copper (II) sulphate solution remains unchanged during electrolysis when copper electrodes are used but it fades when platinum electrodes are used.
