State parallelogram law of vectors addition . Find analytically the magnitude and direction of resultant vector , when (a) two vectors are parallel to each other (b) two vectors are perpendicular to each other.

This is a method for finding the sum of vectors.According to this Law if two vectors A and B are represented by two adjacent sides of Parallelogram pointing in outward direction ,then the diagonal drawn through the intersection of two vectors represents the vector sum of A and B.Let vector A be represented as side OP, and vector B as OQ. Magnitude of vector A and B is given byR=[A2+B2+2ABcosθ]1/2 where θ is the angle A and B(1) if A and B are parallel i.e.θ=00 R=A+B(2) If A and B are perpendicular i.e. θ=900 R=[A2+B2]1/2
