Maharashtra Pollution Control Board is an organization which is responsible for control of pollution. There are various legislations and acts proposed which helps to control the various types of pollution. The common acts are Water Act, Air Act, etc. The functions of the MPCB is to control the type of pollution by implementing taxes and fines. This is the power of the state to punish the persons or the groups which are involved in the activities which results in pollution.
