1. Manures are relatively less rich in plant nutrients in comparison to fertilizers. Still manure would be better in the long run because manure contains organic materials which are good for plant growth. Secondly, manure does not contribute in water and soil pollution, and is much cheaper than fertilizers.

2. India should adopt better agriculture practices because of its large population. In order to satisfy the food requirements of the entire population, more land should be brought under cultivation along with modern methods of cultivation.
