It is always important to know emergency procedures as they help in preventing degradation of health.

• If a person stops breathing, he/she should be given artificial ventilation by mouth to mouth resuscitation.
• RICE method is followed if a person suffers from sprains, i.e., he should be given proper 'Rest', 'Ice' should be applied to the injured part followed by 'Compression' (gently massage the area) and finally the injured part should be Elevated.
• Bleeding can be stopped by covering the area with an antiseptic pad and applying pressure on it.
