Chances to catch an air-borne infection increases, if a healthy person stays closer to an infected person. In closed areas, infected droplets of patient recirculates and increases the risk of infection for healthy individuals. Hence, overcrowded condition and poor ventilation can be major causes for air-borne infections, like tuberculosis.
