Archimedes principle states that the upward buoyant force that is exerted on an object which is immersed in a fluid, whether fully or partially submerged, is equal to the weight of the fluid that the object displaces. [1 Marks]
It is used in the designing of ships, submarines. It is also used in lactometers and hydrometers as adulteration causes a change of density which can be easily identified using these tools. [1 Marks]
