  1. An echo is a reflection of sound that is heard by the observer with some delay after the sound is released from the source.

Conditions of echo to be heard are as follows,

  1. The minimum distance between the source of sound and the reflector must be 17m.
  2. The minimum time taken by the reflected sound to reach the listener should be 0.1s.
