Solution

There are three sorts or classes of levers based on where the weight and effort are positioned in relation to the fulcrum:

  1. Lever of First Class
    1. The fulcrum of this sort of lever is located between the weight and the force exerted.
    2. The force-fulcrum-weight order is used to depict it. The most basic form of lever is this one.
    3. Example: Seesaws, crowbars, or our hand pressing an object.
  2. Lever of Second Class
    1. The fulcrum is at one end, while the force is applied at the other.
    2. The weight is at the center of these two options. This would be in the following order: fulcrum-weight-force.
    3. The use of force at one end will result in some work being done at the other.
    4. Example: Wheelbarrow, Staplers.
  3. Lever of the Third Class
    1. The fulcrum is at one end of the lever, the force is delivered in the middle, and the weight is at the other end.
    2. A weight-force fulcrum is used to express the order. In this situation, we must expend more energy to move the weight over a greater distance.
    3. Example: A broom, a fishing rod.
