  1. Chemical energy is converted to kinetic energy in a moving car.
  2. The energy in the petrol engine of a running car is chemical energy converted to heat energy.
  3. Later this heat energy is converted to kinetic energy.
  4. According to the law of conservation of energy, energy can neither be created nor be destroyed, it can be changed from one form to another.
  5. So when work is done there is a change in energy occurs.
  6. Hence, in a moving car the chemical energy is converted to kinetic energy.
