The chordae tendinae are also called as the heart strings. These are thin and cord-like tendons. These are made up of fibrous tissues. These filaments connects the papillary muscles to the tricuspid valve and the mitral valve in the heart. It is present at the flaps of the bicuspid and tricuspid valves.
