Leydig cells are present in the testis of human males. These are endocrine cells of the cells which lie in the form of clusters of cells singly in the interstitium. The cell contains a rich amount of enzyme which facilitates the formation of pathways for steroid biosynthesis. These enzymes are known as steroid dehydrogenase.
These cells form Testosterone under the influence of the hormones which is the male androgen.
