Solution

Bacterial plasmid can be modified by any human gene or DNA.
  • The gene of interest was selected which have to be inserted into the plasmid.
  • Then the suitable bacterial plasmid was isolated.
  • Plasmid was taken and treated with restriction enzymes to cut it at a specific point where the desired piece of DNA can be inserted.
  • The DNA and the cut end of plasmid should complement each other.
  • DNA and the plasmid was ligated with the enzyme ligase.
  • The ligated plasmid then undergoes selection procedure.
