3. This type of soil is usually found near river beds and as such, they are found in Brahmaputra, Cauvery, Narmada, Tapti, Godavari, Krishna etc They are found in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Guntur, Kurnool, Bidar, Belgaum, Tamilnadu, Uttar Pradesh etc

4. A number of crops like rice, jute, sugarcane, wheat, cotton, maize etc are grown in this type of soil
