Question

State the position of the object in front of a converging lens if it produces a real and same size image of the object.

Open in App
Solution

The converging lens forms a real image of same size as that of object only when the object is placed at a distance twice the focal length of the lens. So, the object must be placed at center of curvature i.e. (2f) of the lens so that real and same size image is formed.
