The principle of rocket states that the total momentum of a system is conserved when the net external for acting on the system is zero.
a. Orbital velocity : The velocity of a satellite along a circular path is called orbital velocity. V0=Rg
b. Escape Velocity : The minimum velocity with a body must be projected to that it escapes from the gravitational field of earth is called escape velocity.

The relation between the orbital velocity (V0):
eruape velocity (Vc) are:
Orbital velocity V0=Rg....(1)
Escape velocity Ve=2Rg....(2)
From equation (1) and (2)
Vc=2V0
