Question

State the reason behind the gradual wearing out of tyres in a vehicle. Explain.

Open in App
Solution

When the vehicles run on the road, there is friction between the surface of tyres and the surface of the road.

Over a period of time, tiny pieces of rubber from the tyre’s surface keeps on breaking due to rubbing of tyres with the road. Due to this high frictional force, all the treads present on the surface of the tyre are worn out and it becomes baldy.
