  1. To ensure that elections are conducted in a free and fair way.
  2. Make all the decisions related to the electoral process in the district.
  • Disaster Management
  1. Take quick decisions during disasters in order to minimise damage and loss of lives.
  2. To ensure quick rehabilitation for the victims of the disaster.
