Scientific and Eco-friendly methods of waste management are-
(I) Reuse- materials can be reused in order to maintain the waste.
(II) Composting- kitchen wastes can be decomposed like peels of vegetables and fruits in the garden or small pit.
(III) Use of solid waste for generating energy for gas or electricity production. Here, the waste is heated at very high temperature. This process is called as Pyrolysis.
(IV) In the secure landfilling method, plastic, clay liners are replaced in landfills before waste is dumped which prevents leaching of waste.
