State the structure of ear and explain how the process of hearing occurs.

The ear consists of external, middle, and inner portions. The outer ear consists of the pinna, the external auditory canal known as meatus, and eardrum.
The process of hearing occurs when the sound waves pass the pinna then it is directed through auditory canal and strikes the eardrum make it vibrate exactly the same way as the given sound emitting object.
